Hyundai launched the Kona electric SUV in the Indian market in July 2019. The Hyundai Kona is priced at ₹25.30 lakh and the electric SUV comes to India via CKD route. Now, the Hyundai Kona has bagged over 300 bookings and Hyundai has already delivered 150 units of the electric SUV.
Apart from that, Hyundai has also received an order from EESL (Energy Efficiency Service Limited) for 10 units of the Kona SUV. Out of 10 units, Hyundai has delivered 4 units of the Kona to EESL. The Hyundai Kona has received a good response in the Indian market and the electric SUV is sold out for 2019.
The Hyundai Kona is equipped with a 100kW electric motor which draws power from a 39.2kWh lithium-ion battery. The power output of the electric motor stands at 131bhp and 395Nm of torque. The Kona EV delivers an ARAI-certified driving range of 452km on a single charge. The Kona electric can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 9.7 seconds.
The Hyundai Kona also comes with fast-charging and the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in under an hour. With a standard charger, it takes 6 hours and 10 minutes for a full charge. The Kona also features three driving modes: Eco, Comfort and Sport. The electric SUV also comes with regenerative braking and it can be adjusted through the paddle shifters.
