Czech automaker Skoda recently launched Kodiaq Scout in the Indian market. The Skoda Kodiaq Scout is the rugged variant of the SUV and comes with new features. Now, CarandBike reports that Skoda will launch the Kodiaq RS in India in 2020. The sporty variant of the SUV is expected to be launched after the implementation of the BS-VI emission norms.
The overall design of the Skoda Kodiaq RS is similar to the regular variant of the SUV except for some minor tweaks. Upfront, the Kodiaq RS gets the iconic vRS badge on the grille and slightly revamped bumper. Other changes include 20-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs and chrome-tipped dual exhausts.
The interior of the Skoda Kodiaq RS features an all-black theme with contrast red stitching and red highlights. Other features include Alcantara leather seat upholstery, bucket style front seats, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, RS logo on the steering wheel and gear lever and sporty metal pedals. The Kodiaq RS will also get the virtual cockpit instrument cluster.
The Skoda Kodiaq RS draws power from a 2-litre, twin-turbocharged diesel engine that pumps out 236bhp and 500Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The Kodiaq RS also gets all-wheel-drive-system with automatic torque distribution.
